Flash Back Ice Cream Parlor Design
For this project I was asked to design a space that fit into a smaller than normal retail footprint (the size of an alley). The client I chose was an ice cream parlor to put on Campus Corner in Norman, OK, a popular location for college student and pre gaming for college football games.
Elevation, section and floor plan drawings are all done by hand.
I was given free-range to design and layout the shop along with the placement. To make the most of the real estate I made my parlor 2 stories with a sun roof and large open window to allow maximum light into the small space. All appliances and furniture are draw to scale as a result of extensive research of the items needed for a retail business like this. All walkways are designed to best adhere to ADA compliance despite the spacial limitations.
